| About the Center For Applied Research and Public Policy
The Center for Applied Research and Public Policy (CARPP)was founded in 1990. CARPP provides research and data
as a public service to the state of Virginia, national agencies and groups throughout the United States. It specializes in providing geographical
information systems (GIS) analysis and U.S. Bureau of Census-based research and reports. Over the last ten years, CARPP has generated more than
120 data bases and reports in the following areas:
Redistrict and Elections Race and Ethnicity
Neighborhood Composition and Housing
Income and Poverty Health and Environment Urban and Rural Development
Business and Industry Transportation and Commuter Behavior Neighborhood and Community Empowerment
