Mission Statement:
The Center for Applied Research & Public Policy (CARPP) is a unit of the Political Science, College of Liberal Arts at Norfolk State University. It was founded in 1990 to facilitate, promote, and provide excellent research on significant public policy issues. From national policies, to state, local, and regional issues, CARPP examines social, racial, and political issues that affect how people operate in both the public and private sectors. To accomplish this goal, CARPP utilizes a variety of methodology aimed at gathering demographic, political, population, economic, and behavioral data.
