Having completed his B.A. in English at Rollins College (Winter Park, Florida), his M.A. in English at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), and his Ph.D. in English at the University of Arkansas (1973), Dr. William Pace began service at Norfolk State University in 1973.   At NSU, he has served as treasurer of the faculty senate and, at various times, as chair of certain committees in the English and Foreign Languages Department, namely Curriculum, Faculty Evaluation, and Assessment.  He helped develop the current instrument used at NSU for faculty self-evaluation. Since 1973 he has taught a spectrum of courses, from ENG-101 (Communication Skills I) to ENG-412 (Chaucer).

 

Dr. Pace wrote his dissertation on D. H. Lawrence.  One of his most-admired authors is James Baldwin, and he especially enjoys his essays.
