Mr. Drew serves the dual role of instructor of English in the Department of English and Foreign Languages and Technology Liaison for the School of Liberal Arts.   He teaches freshman English courses.  Before joining the faculty, Mr. Drew was Director of SOLA-TEC, which provided instruction in computer-assisted instruction and technology support for the School of Liberal Arts. Mr. Drew has also served as Coordinator of the Reading and Writing Language Skills Lab in the Department, and Coordinator of CALSP, Computer-Assisted Literary Skills Project. He has also served as in instructor in the ACCESS Department (formerly known as REEP).

Mr. Drew holds a B.A. in English (Liberal Arts sequence) from Norfolk State University and an M.A. degree in English from Virginia State University. He has also done graduate work at Old Dominion University, obtained a Certificate on College Teaching, from the Virginia Tidewater Consortium for Higher Education, a fellow of the Southside Virginia Writing Project (SVWP), and has received numerous awards and certificates for technology and community service.

He is a member of NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English), member; VCEE (Virginia Conf of English Educators), member; VATE (Virginia Association of Teachers of English) Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, Xi Nu Chapter (former secr.); Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, NSU Technology Advisory Group (TAG).

With 12 years of classroom experience, Mr. Drew enjoys English and technology and plans to complete a doctorate that combines these fields.  His favorite authors are Richard Wright and Booker T. Washington.
