Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas M. Anthony Jr. is a native of Christianstead, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He began his military career in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Military Policeman upon graduation of Basic Training and AIT at FT. McClennon, AL. After graduating from Hampton University of Hampton, Virginia with a Bachelor's degree in Communications, he was commissioned as an Aviation Second Lieutenant in May 1990.

LTC Anthony's assignments include Section Leader, Bravo Co. 2/501st (Innkeepers) and Executive Officer (XO), HHC 2/501st (Nightmare Bn.), Camp Humphreys, Korea; XO, Platoon Leader and Operations Officer, Bravo Co. 2/159th and Company Commander, HHC 3rd Infantry Division Aviation Brigade, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia; Small Group Instructor, Army Aviation Officer Advanced Course and Company Commander, C Co. 1-11th Aviation Regiment (ATS), FT. Rucker, Alabama; V Corps Chief of Staff Executive Officer and V Corps G3 Air Plans Officer, Hiedelberg, German; Commander Fox Company 159th, Giebelstadt, Germany; Brigade S-3, 98th Area Support Brigade, Wurzburg, Germany; Mosul Team 1, Joint IED Task Force Team Leader, Pentagon, Alexandria, Virginia; Aviation Assignment Officer (Lieutenant Colonel's Assignment Desk) and Aviaion Branch XO, Human Resources Command, Alexandria, Virginia.

Highlights of LTC Anthony's career include Operation UPHOLD DEMOCRACY, Haiti; Operation JOINT GUARDIAN, Macedonia and Kosovo and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Kuwait and Iraq. He also served as the lead planner for the execution of V Corp' Capstone Aviation Exercise Victory Strike II, Drawsko Pormoskie, Poland.

LTC Anthony's military education includes the Aviatio nOfficer BasicCourse, Aviation Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, Aviation Officer Advance Course and Combined Arms Services Staff School, and Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth Kansas. Advanced civilschooling includes a Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University, Dothan, Alabama.

LTC Anthony's awards include the Bronze Star, Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal. Decorations include the Combat Action Badge, Senior Aviator Badge, Army Parachutist Badge and the Air Assault Badge.
